Refund & cancellation terms
These terms apply to professional audit and assessment engagements offered by Cedar Peak Fintech Review. They do not cover physical goods, software subscriptions, or services we do not sell.
Eligibility overview
Fees relate to reserved professional time, scoping, fieldwork, and written deliverables. Refunds depend on how far the engagement has progressed and whether dates were reserved at your request.
Deposit
A typical engagement begins with a 40% deposit after the scoping letter is signed. The deposit reserves the fieldwork window and covers intake preparation. Deposits are credited toward the total fee.
Full refund
If you cancel in writing more than ten business days before the agreed fieldwork start date, and we have not begun evidence review, we refund the deposit in full within fourteen business days using the original payment method where possible.
Partial refund
If you cancel between three and ten business days before fieldwork start, we retain 50% of the deposit for reserved time and refund the remainder. If evidence intake has already begun, we may invoice for hours worked at the rate stated in the engagement letter and refund any unused deposit balance.
Non-refundable items
- Fees for completed memoranda or delivered readiness matrices
- On-site travel already purchased at your request (billed at cost)
- Third-party room or translation bookings made with your written approval
- Workstreams marked complete in a signed change order
Work already started
Once fieldwork interviews or sample testing begin, the engagement is considered underway. Cancellation thereafter does not entitle you to a refund of fees for work performed. We will deliver a status note of work completed to date upon request.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule once without penalty if you give at least five business days’ notice and an alternative window within sixty days is mutually available. Later reschedules may incur a rescheduling fee of up to 15% of the engagement fee to cover coordinator time.
No-shows
If key interviewees miss agreed sessions without twenty-four hours’ notice and the delay prevents completing sampling in the reserved window, we may charge for the unused day or extend the timeline with additional fees as quoted.
Refund process & timing
Email hello@cloudnoderoute.digital with your engagement reference, reason for the request, and payment details used. We confirm receipt within two business days and process approved refunds within fourteen business days. Refunds are issued via the original transfer method when available; otherwise by bank transfer to a named business account.
Cancellation by Cedar Peak
If we must cancel due to conflict of interest, illness, or force majeure, we will refund fees for undelivered work, including any unused deposit, and assist in an orderly handoff of materials you supplied.
Exceptions
Statutory rights under Taiwanese law that cannot be waived remain available. Engagement letters may set stricter notice periods for compressed timelines that you requested; those written terms control when clearly stated.
