About

A review practice rooted in Taiwanese fintech operations

Cedar Peak Fintech Review exists for operators who need an independent reading of controls—not a software rollout, not a second internal team wearing a vendor badge.

Origin

The practice began after repeated diligence cycles in Kaohsiung and Taipei where founders arrived with polished decks and thin reconciliation evidence. We formed Cedar Peak to sit with the files first: processor statements, exception queues, and the people who clear breaks at 7 p.m. during month-end.

Taiwan’s fintech scene mixes electronic payment institutions, consumer lenders, and cross-border remittance models. Each carries different supervisory expectations. Our work stays close to those differences instead of importing a generic “global playbook.”

Working principles

  • Follow customer money before editing policy prose
  • Rank findings by exposure, not by slide aesthetics
  • Write for operators and directors in the same memorandum
  • Refuse scopes that require us to file licences or run your compliance desk

People

Engagements are led by practitioners who have sat inside payment operations, internal audit, and compliance advisory—not by a rotating pool of generalists.

Relationship to clients

We are engaged for a defined review window. We do not sell monitoring software, retainers that quietly become staff augmentation, or “transformation programmes.” When fieldwork ends, you keep the memorandum, the evidence index, and clear ownership of remediation.

Based in Taiwan

Our office address is 5497 Conroy Park, 高雄縣, 台灣省, Taiwan. Remote document review is standard; on-site days are available across Taiwan when leadership briefings or sensitive file rooms require presence.
